The Dennehy School of Irish Dance had sixteen dancers qualified to compete at the North American Championships, July 3 – July 7, 2010 in Orlando, Florida. Those dancers were Sara Caddigan, Katie Czyzewski, Paige Dausinas, Bridget Downes, Kathleen Flanagan, Emma Griffiths, Katriona Horan, Kelly Leahy, Kathryn Lenz, Shannon McNamara, Amanda Murphy, Ashley Murphy, Abbey Pluth, Michael Putman, Rebecca Sidler and Bridget Smith. Fifteen of those dancers traveled to Orlando to compete; twelve of those fifteen medaled. Congratulations to all our dancers that competed at the 2010 North American Championships! The Dennehy School qualified 12 dancers for the 2010 World Championships, those dancers are: Amanda Murphy, Emma Griffiths, Kathryn Lenz, Katie Czyzewski, Katriona Horan, Bridget Downes, Paige Dausinas, Venessa Flanagan, Shannon McNamara, Abbey Pluth, Michael Putman and Bridget Smith. Eight of those dancers traveled to Glasgow, Scotland to compete.
Three of our dancers placed in medal winning positions:
Michael Putman, Men 17-18, 2nd Place
Bridget Downes, Girls 14-15, 12th Place
Bridget Smith, Ladies 18-19, 13th Place
